Calling all people with green fingers. Does your garden have what it takes to be an award-winning garden?
Sponsored by the Waikato District Council and Huntly and Ngaruawahia Community Boards, the annual Best Garden Competition is back.
Keep your eye open for entry forms, which are being delivered next week throughout the district.
There are plenty of categories to enter, and prizes to be won. Council encourages as many residents as possible to take part.
This year’s categories include: Best Street Appearance; Best Vegetable Garden; Best Novice Garden (1st & 2nd year gardens); Best Established Garden; Best Rose Display; and Best Courtyard/Feature/Art in Garden.
Entries for Huntly’s Best Garden Competition close on Friday 30 October 2009, with judging taking place between 2 - 6 November 2009.
Entries for Ngaruawahia’s Best Garden Competition close on Wednesday 4 November 2009, with judging taking place on 17 November 2009.
Entry forms can be obtained from your local Council office or library.
