Waikato District Council Water Supply Bylaw 2009
Waikato District Council hereby gives notice that, pursuant to section 145 of the Local Government Act 2002 that the Water Supply Bylaw 2009 has been adopted.
This bylaw will come into force on 1 December 2009.
The purpose of the bylaw is to:
- Protect, promote and maintain public health.
- Promote the efficient use of water and protection against waste or misuse of water from the water supply system.
- Protect the water supply and water supply system from pollution.
- Manage, regulate against, or protect from damage, misuse, or loss of land, structures and infrastructure associated with the water supply system.
- Prevent the unauthorised use of land, structures or infrastructures associated with the water supply system.
