The Council meets regularly to discuss and make policies regarding the Waikato district, the performance of the Chief Executive, contracts, committee structure, committee memberships and delegations.
The Waikato District Council meeting is held on the second Monday of each month with the exception of January each year. Meetings are scheduled to begin at 1.15pm.
The Waikato District Council endorses recommendations made at committee meetings, and in addition makes decisions on matters that are not delegated to committees.
Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 requires Council to adopt a code of conduct. The following code of conduct applies to councillors and community committee members to comply with.
