Serpell Road starts at State Highway 2 in the Whangamarino Ward and runs south to a dead end. The seal extension is located between R.P. 0.00 and 0.643.
The project involves an overlay of 150mm, widening the existing road, altering the existing horizontal and vertical alignment where necessary and sealing to 6.0m width. A feature of the project is installation of a 2.55m diameter concrete culvert which requires compliance with a Waikato Regional Council Resource Consent.
The works are valued at $267,164.58 and Strada Corporation Ltd has commenced construction in February 2012 and completion is expected in June.
