Long-term council community plan

The Waikato District Council is required to produce a Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) under the Local Government Act 2002.  Long Term Council Community Plans show the expectations and goals for the community to meet for the next ten years.

The current 2009 - 2019 LTCCP was adopted by Council on 26 June 2009.

Waikato District Long-Term Council Community Plan 2009 - 2019 (Building Our Future)

Planning for the future is a key part of the role of the Waikato District Council.  This plan builds on previous plans and takes into account a range of issues facing the district in the coming years.

Waikato District Long-Term Council Community Plan 2006 –2016 (The Road Ahead)

Our LTCCP is an ongoing journey. We started the journey in 2004 with the first LTCCP. This plan follows a similar format however we have also reviewed our financial future for the next ten years in more depth.

Council approved changes to the Development Contribution Policy with respect to the Tamahere levies as part of an amendment to the LTCCP on 22 April 2008.

The LTCCP is our road map for the next 10 years. The Plan endeavors to meet the expectations of Council's mission statement which is: "To make the Waikato district an even better place for living, working, investing and visiting in the future".
