Planning maps

This Appeals version of the Proposed District Plan shows land subject to appeals to the Environment Court. The maps are fully browsable and for each one a PDF version is supplied for more detailed inspection and for printing (maps are set to print at A3). For more information on the maps and how to identify land which is subject to appeal, consult the introduction document below.

There are pairs of maps for each geographical area. One view shows policy areas and the other shows the zones. They cover the same geographical area and have the same sheet number and title at the top left or top right corner. Click on any of the frames in the grid below to go to the policy map for that area. The equivalent zone map is accessed from each policy map page

Significant dates

The Proposed Waikato District Plan was notified under Clause 5 of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991 on 25 September 2004. Variation 1 was notified on 13 August 2005. Variation 3 was notified on 16 November 2005.

Decisions on submissions and further submissions to the Plan and these Variations were notified under Clause 10(3) of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act on 18 November 2006.

Decisions on designations (Chapter 30 and Planning Maps) were notified on 6 October 2007.

This Appeals version of the Plan incorporates changes made in response to submissions. It has been updated to incorporate further changes made as a result of Appeals that were resolved during 2007. Provisions still subject to appeal as at November 2009 are noted in the Appeals version thus: [0027] - i.e. the last four digits of the Environment Court lodgement number. PDF files of any appeal may be obtained from Waikato District Council. Please email districtplan@waidc.govt.nz and enter the four-digit appeal number in the subject line.

A number of Variations of the Plan have been notified. All but one have completed the submissions process and are now merged into the Plan.
