Do you put time and effort into making our communities a better place to live, work and play?

You are important to the success of our communities and these FREE workshops will support your community vision to become a reality!

In conjunction with Community Waikato, Waikato District Council and Open Waikato District are proud to support the Open Waikato District Not-for-Profit Training Programme for 2022!

What is it?

The Open Waikato District Training Programme provides access to workshops designed to cover the key skills needed to effectively run a community organisation.

Over the course of the next few months, we will be running interactive sessions to cover three important fundamentals of community groups: governance, planning and funding.

Each workshop has been designed to be short and sharp, focusing on the real issues facing local volunteer groups, where to start and where to find practical resources to help.

While sessions will be held via Zoom in 2022 due to the current circumstances with COVID-19, we will still be conducting each workshop with an area-specific focus, so we encourage you to attend the workshop most relevant to the local area for your organisation if possible.
