• Weekly collection of your refuse using the Xtreme Zero Waste prepaid 60L or 25L bags. Each bag must weigh no more than 20kg.

  • Weekly collection of up to two free recycling bins per household.

  • Weekly food waste collection. All urban residences will receive a kitchen caddy, kerbside bin, and a pack of compostable bags. For more information on the service and equipment visit, www.xtremezerowaste.org.nz.

  • Xtreme Zero Waste (XZW) is a community enterprise contracted by Council to operate the Raglan Resource Recovery Centre. Refuse dropped-off here costs $45 per cubic metre. Household items in good condition, oil, metal and household recycling can be dropped off for free.

  • In addition to running the above services, XZW also run: a Reuse Shop, Metal Yard and Wood Yard, E-cycle drop-off, Business Recycling, Consultancy, Zero Waste Education, Mentoring, Waste Audits and Site Tours. This organisation is turning Raglan’s waste into resources and diverting approximately 75% of refuse from landfill.
