  • What’s changing in our cemeteries?

    A 2016 review of the Waikato District Council Cemeteries Bylaw restricted the pre-purchasing of plots to only when a relative was to be buried. We have received feedback from the public regarding this and are proposing to amend clause 6.2 of the bylaw so plots can be pre-purchased at any time.

  • Reserve Management Plan - The Point Reserve

    We are reviewing the Reserve Management Plan for The Point Reserve in Ngaruawahia which includes Kiingitanga Reserve.

  • Reserve Management Plans - Woodlands, Wainui, Papahua and Manu Bay

    Waikato District Council is intending to review the Reserve Management Plan for Woodlands Homestead and Gardens, as well as the Reserve Management Plans for Wainui and Manu Bay reserves in Raglan. Council also intends to prepare a Reserve Management Plan for the Raglan Domain/Kopua/Papahua Reserve.

  • Pokeno Woolworths

    Council has received an application by Woolworths NZ Limited for resource consent to construct and operate a supermarket on the site 58 Great South Road, Pokeno.
