Reserve Management Plans - Woodlands, Wainui, Papahua and Manu Bay

Early engagement for the reserve management plan is now closed. We will come back to the community with the draft Reserve Management Plans later in the year for the second round of consultation.

Waikato District Council is intending to review the Reserve Management Plan for Woodlands Homestead and Gardens, as well as the Reserve Management Plans for Wainui and Manu Bay reserves in Raglan.  Council also intends to prepare a Reserve Management Plan for the Raglan Domain/Kopua/Papahua Reserve.

The reserve management plans prepared for Wainui, Manu Bay, and Papahua will then be incorporated into a single document known as the Raglan Coastal Reserves Management Plan.

Management plans are produced to outline the future use, management and development (as funds become available) of reserves.

There will be two rounds of consultation on these reserve management plans, the process for this is outlined in the Reserves Act 1977.  Part of this process involves Council undertaking two rounds of consultation with the community.

Now closed: The first round is early engagement – this is where we ask for your input, ideas and suggestions so we can incorporate these (where possible) into the draft reserve management plan.

The second round of consultation involves us coming back to you with the draft plan we have created (incorporating your suggestions where possible) and asking again for your feedback.

All suggestions received in this first round of engagement will be considered for inclusion when the reserve management plans are reviewed drafted. Draft reserve management plans will be made available for public submission in 2019.

Submissions on these reserve management plans closed 5pm on Friday 1 February 2019.
