Te Kauwhata Structure Plan

On 26 September 2009 the Council notified Te Kauwhata Structure Plan as Variation 13 of the Proposed Waikato District Plan. The Structure Plan will provide a framework for future growth in Te Kauwhata by managing development and land use patterns, areas of open space, layout and nature of infrastructure (including roads), and other key features. Sufficient land has been identified to supply demand to 2061.

Associated with the Variation are two Notices of Requirement for Designation  - of (1) a heavy traffic alternative route, and (2) two water reservoirs.

See Variation 13 here.
