Fundview
The Waikato District Council has Fundview available in its libraries at Te Kauwhata, Huntly, Ngaruawahia and Raglan, and also at its office in Ngaruawahia.
Fundview is a searchable database system which can assist you to source possible funding options available to you for your project. If you are interested in more information about this database please contact the Iwi and Community Partnership Manager.
Council Funding
For Council funding your intended project would need to occur or benefit persons living within the Waikato district and in addition, meet certain criteria set by the specific Community Board or Committee.
The following funding is available from or through Council:
Waikato District Council Community Board Discretionary Funds
This funding is available for projects happening in Huntly, Taupiri, Raglan or Ngaruawahia. The application must be made on the prescribed form, with a decision made by the appropriate Community Board. Each Board has slightly different criteria and this criteria is contained on the notes page attached to the prescribed form.
Waikato District Council Event Sponsorship Fund
This funding is available for major events happening in the Waikato District Council rating area. There is no prescribed form but there are guidelines about what needs to be included in your application request. Contact the Iwi and Community Partnership Manager for closing dates and further information.
Creative Communities New Zealand Funding Scheme
This funding is available for projects happening in the Waikato District Council rating area. Any application must be made on the prescribed form and decisions are made by a Committee made up of 10 people. The current Committee make up is as follows:

Heritage Funding
The Waikato District Council provides the Heritage Assistance Fund to assist with the conservation, restoration and protection of valued heritage items within the Waikato District Council boundaries that are not Council owned. This funding is only available on a two-yearly cycle. Currently the next round is planned for July/August 2010. Annual Plan Funding
This funding is available through Council's Annual Plan/Long Term Council Community Plan processes and requires Council staff assistance. Please contact the Iwi and Community Partnership Manager if you are interested in information on this type of funding from Council.
Conservation Funding
This funding is available for private land owners undertaking larger scale conservation projects on their properties. If you require further information on this funding option please contact the Iwi and Community Partnership Manager.
