As a result of the resignation of a member, an extraordinary vacancy has occurred in the Tuakau Community Board of Waikato District Council.
Under section 120 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, notice is given that on Thursday 20 June 2024, a by-election will be held under the first past the post electoral system by postal vote for one member of the Tuakau Community Board.
Results
As a result of an extraordinary vacancy, notice is given under section 65 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, that the following person has been duly nominated as a candidate for the Tuakau Community Board of Waikato District Council:
GEE, Richard (Independent)
As there was only one candidate for the one vacancy, Richard GEE is declared duly elected to the Tuakau Community Board.
