Huntly

Work/Activity

 These work includes drainage and stormwater improvements, kerb and channel renewal, pavement construction, entranceway reinstatement, footpath renewals, and final chip seal surfacing.

A second phase of traffic management will come into effect from 21 September.

Detour/Traffic Management
A Stop/Go will be in effect between Alexandra St and Porritt Ave

Kopuku

Description
Kopuku Road, between State Highway 2 and Coalfields Road.
Timeframe

31 August to 16 October from 6am - 6pm.

7 September to 25 September, 24 hour road closures.

Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents, farmers and businesses wherever practicable. Some short delays may be unavoidable while construction activities are taking place.

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Work/Activity
Road rehabilitation works. These works will improve the long-term condition and safety of the road and include drainage improvements, culvert replacement, road reconstruction and resurfacing works.
Detour/Traffic Management
Temporary traffic management and detour routes will be in place throughout the project. Please follow all signage and instructions from traffic management staff.

Ngaaruawaahia

Description
Closed between George and Kent Street.

Detour/Traffic Management
  • Westbound to be detoured up Duke Street and along Starr Road
  • Eastbound to be detoured up George Street and into Kent Street
  • Great South Road southbound traffic wanting to use River Road eastbound will be advised by VMS Board before Kelm Road to use Kelm Road and Duke Street
  • Great South Road northbound traffic wanting to use River Rd through to the east will be advised by VMS Board to use Kelm Road and Duke Street
