Huia road resilience improvements design
Project objective
Replacement of one lane bridge at Munro Road, Pookeno. Two lane bridge and pedestrian crossing.Flood prevention and resilience work.
Project update
February 2026 - Design, and consenting are paused. Work will continue when cost share arrangements are clarified with Counties Energy.Once complete the project will then go on hold ("shovel ready") until funding is secured by Waka Kotahi for construction.
