Council Workshops

Council regularly holds workshops that are intended to enable staff to receive appropriate support, input and direction when developing consultation documents or undertaking bylaw and policy reviews.  These are not decision-making forums, and most workshops are open to the public to attend should they wish.

However, when dealing with matters of a sensitive nature or issues that require negotiations, workshops will be held as public excluded with reasons listed as per section 7 of the Local Government & Official Information Act 1987.

For more information contact the Chief Executive Gavin Ion or the Democracy Team on any matter relating to the agendas and minutes.
