ReWorks: Tiny Treasures - build beautiful and functional items!

Hosted by Whāingaroa Environment Centre and Xtreme Zero Waste, in the new workshop space at the XZW Woodyard, based on the principles of Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Repair.

Facilitated by the skilled duo Reno Rachael (Goddard) and Deb King, this workshop you'll be guided through creating tiny treasures out of repurposed materials, from scrap of beautiful and functional items! You'll make a beautiful creations to take home and also learn about different types of oils, stains, sanding, glue, varnishes.

There will be some lovely small items to use, and participants are also welcome to bring any items, to repurpose into things like a coat rack, towel rack etc. Be inspired by the incredible creations Reno Rachel has created from repurposed materials, seen in the visuals.

Whether you’re a total beginner or just keen to get making again, this is a welcoming space to learn, create, and be inspired.

Spaces are limited and registration is essential/ Tickets are $30, plus a booking fee.

  • Closed-toe shoes, comfy clothes, water bottle, and your curiosity!
  • Your own lunch/snacks
  • A bottle of water.
