Community E-Waste drop-off

The University of Waikato has partnered with Hamilton City Council to provide a FREE e-waste drop-off event to encourage responsible recycling adn disposal of electronic waste.

Accepted

  • TVs
  • Computers and laptops
  • Mobile phones and tablets
  • Keyboards, mice and other peripherals
  • Small electronics (cameras, game consoles, etc)
  • Small household appliances (microwaves, blenders, etc)
  • Batteries (household types)
  • Old vapes and e-cigarettes

Not accepted

  • Large appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, etc)
  • Hazardous materials (chemicals, paints, etc)
  • Furniture
  • Light bulbs or fluorescent tubes
  • Household waste
  • No commercial volumes of e-waste
