ANZAC Day services 2026
ANZAC Day honours our returned servicemen and women, and others who have died in conflicts and peace-keeping efforts around the world.
Below is information about the services being held in the Waikato District for on ANZAC Day, Saturday 25 April 2026. We ask that you please arrive early and allow time to find a park.

The Ride of Respect
A significant ANZAC Bike Ride will take place Saturday 25 April, starting from the Ngaaruawaahia RSA and travelling to Wellington. The Ride of Respect (ROR) 2025, hosted by the Tribal Nations Motorcycle Club Aotearoa, begins with registration at 9:00 AM and a 10:30 AM departure, finishing in Wellington. Eureka
Please arrive at 9.45am for the service at 10am at the Cenotaph, Eureka Hall, 1298 State Highway 26, followed by morning tea in the hall.
Gordonton
Dawn service at 6am at the Cenotaph, Gordonton Hall, 1024 Gordonton Road (SH1B), followed by morning tea in the hall.
Huntly
From 5am people can gather at Huntly RSA, 42 William Street and at 5.45am there will be a march to the Cenotaph in Wight Street for a service at 6am.
Parade will return to the RSA at 7:15am and leave the RSA to muster for service at Kimihia Cemetery at 7.30am.
Kariaotahi
Following the creation of a Kariaotahi School WW2 Roll of Honour board, a special dedication ceremony will be held at 2pm at Kariaotahi Hall, 19 Binns Road, Waiuku.
Maramarua
Please assemble at the cenotaph on Monument Road at 8.45am for a 9am start. If raining, will be held at the Maramarua Hall.
Mercer
Please gather in front of the Cenotaph, infront of the old Mercer Fire Station, 7 Roose Road, at 5:50am for a 6am start.
Ngaaruawaahia
Dawn service: 5:30am march from the Police Station on Market Street to the Ngaaruawaahia RSA.
Civic service: 10am at the Ngaaruawaahia War Memorial Hall, Galileo Street. Following the service, a march to The Point Cenotaph where you are invited to attend the laying of the wreaths.
Pookeno
The parade will begin at 9.00am, with assembly in front of the Z Truckstop, Great South Road.
Port Waikato
A morning service will be held at the Port Waikato Fire Brigade at 9am.
Raglan
Raglan ANZAC Day service will be held at 11am at the Cenotaph, Bow Street, Raglan. Refreshments will be served at the RSA Club following the service.
Te Kauwhata
Dawn service: 5.45am Assemble outside the Lions RSA Hall, 42 Mahi Rd, Te Kauwhata (800m) and march to Soldiers Memorial for the Dawn service.
Civil service: 10.45am assemble at the Soldiers Memorial at the village green. 11am service commences at Te Kauwhata Memorial at 10 Saleyard Road.
Te Mata
Assemble at the Te Mata Community Hall at 6am.
Tuakau
The parade will assemble from 10.30am for a 11am start at the Tuakau Cosmopolitan Club.
Waerenga
7:45am service with gunfire breakfast, Keith Road, Waerenga.
