Metservice has issued a severe weather warning for the Waikato with heavy rain expected to continue until Wednesday evening.
The forecast is in the 36 hours from 11am today (4 April 2017) until 11pm Wednesday, 120-180mm of rain may accumulate. Peak intensities 25 to 45mm per hour and thunderstorms possible.
Please take extra care on the roads during this time.
