Council is continuing maintenance grading across unsealed roads in the northern Waikato district.
Grading helps keep roads safe and drivable by reshaping the surface, redistributing gravel, and smoothing out potholes.
It’s a key part of maintaining these roads, helping to:
- improve driving comfort and safety
- reduce dust and loose material
- keep the road surface in good condition
Crews are working through different areas as part of an ongoing programme, with additional graders helping to keep work moving after recent wet weather.
Unsealed roads can deteriorate quickly, especially after rain. Crews prioritise work based on road condition and safety.
