Grand opening of the new-look Huntly Library and Council office

Huntlylibrary

The refurbishment of Huntly’s library and Council office is nearly complete and we can’t wait to show you around.

To celebrate, we’re planning a grand opening on Tuesday, 25 October. A blessing, prizes, giveaways and a good look around the new space will be the order of the day.

Before we do this, we do need to move back into the library and office from the Civic Centre complex. This will mean no services from 15 October until opening day on 25 October.

While we start the move, there will also be a reduction in services on Saturday, 8 October. On this day the only Council service available will be the drop-off point for voting papers at the front of the Civic building. Council services will resume from Monday, 10 October until Friday, 14 October.

Customer Delivery Manager, Angela Parquist says the renovations have been a big undertaking but the new space is in line with what the community both deserve and need.

“I’m sure our new-look library and Council office will be something we can all be proud of,” she says.
