Cyclone Cook avoids Waikato District

Waikato District largely avoided the effects of Cyclone Cook.  Yesterday’s weather resulted in a few slips and limited flooding throughout the district.

  • Hakarimata Road (3 or 4 corners from the Waikato Alliance depot) – one lane blocked
  • Waeranga Rd – from Te Kauwhata at the intersection of Kelly Road – small slip with an overhanging tree

Known flooding from last night’s weather:

  • Tahuna Rd – 5km East of Te Hoe
