The project addresses an abatement notice on Cambrae Road, Raglan for flood remediation served to the Waikato District Council (WDC) in 2020.
The scope of work is to replace the existing undersized culvert pipe and associated assets, mitigate the impacts of flooding from the currently piped stream, and plant and restore all disturbed areas.
Project update
April 2024: The design and overall approach to overcome the location, access, and environmental challenges we encountered was finalised, and saw construction start the culvert replacement in March.
With the weather generally playing in our favour, the team has made significant progress and has seen site clearance, asset relocation, and the installation of the downstream headwall completed.
The large culvert pipeline installation is underway with the project scheduled to be completed mid-May.
