Project update

Fairfield Avenue WWPS has now had the pillar upgrade completed by WEL, and the panel and Kingfisher hardware installation are underway. The Southern Districts base station has works commencing on 11th May by civil contractor Spartan Construction. All foundation works will be completed that week, followed by a 10-day curing period before standing the comms pole. The switchboard enclosure has been shipped to McKay Electrical, and construction will commence on arrival. There was a significant delay from Helios (hardware supplier) on the RSI200-2E-FT units (8-10 weeks ex Australia). To prevent project delays, a decision was made to upscale these units to CSI300-2EFTA units as these were immediately available. This keeps the project on track for completion by the end of FY.
