Project update

Stormwater extensions cover works at: Government Road, Marine Parade, Wainui Road/ Steward Road Outfall.
Progress Update:
1 The detailed design for the Wainui Road/ Steward Street Outfall and Marine Parade projects has been completed, and the resource consent applications for both projects have been lodged. Waikato Regional Council requested that consultation be undertaken with Raglan iwi groups under the Marine and Coastal Arae (Takutai Moana) Act 2011. Project briefing letters were issued to the identified groups in December 2025, waiting for the responses.
2 The preliminary design for the Government Road project has been completed. Consultation with the Raglan Community Board has commenced. Waikato District Council Parks and Water has requested that Watercare lodge the resource consent application only after consultation with the Raglan Community Board has been completed.
