Huntly Water Supply reticulation extensions

Project update

This project forms part of 2024-27 Water Renewals Programme and involves the establishment of two new pressure zones in Huntly East to address low-pressure issues affecting properties in elevated areas. The works include the construction of two new booster pumpstations, installation of pressure zone valves, and supporting supply mains at Kimihia Road and Upland Road reservoir sites.
Progress update:
At Kimihia Road/ Upland Road (Huntly East), complex construction challenges were successfully managed, enabling installation of five zonal vales, commissioning of the new pipeline, and full site reinstatement. The pump shed, pump skid, and electrical swich board are complete, with remaining works limited to the pump station site and reservoir valve chamber upgrades.
Commitment has been confirmed for the Upland Road Booster Pump Station, with construction planned to commence in early 2026.
