Munro Road resilience and footpath

Our focus will be on upgrading the culvert beneath Munro Road and raising the road to enhance its resilience against potential floods.

This project is a significant step towards creating a more flood-resistant environment for everyone. 

Project Update

April 2024 - Schicks has been awarded contract to raise and widen road and footpath.  Consents have just been received and will require additional ecological work to meet WRC requirements.   Work should start in May/June.  Road will be closed to through traffic during construction.
