The Point, Ngaaruawaahia Pumphouse
Delivery of a new pumphouse structure to provide a new building envelope to enclose the fire damaged existing pumphouse building. Project is a one off resulting from an arson attack on the public toilet on 26/12/22.
Project Update
April 2024 - Replacement building will see the removal of the existing damaged toilet block and continue to house the Watercare control room. Working with Watercare to ensure design matches the asset (NZBC Importance Level) and that it has the correct functionality. Detailed Design will follow which will indicate cost and be submitted through to the insurers as part of the large arson claim.
The design of the pumpshed should be completed by end of May 2024.
