Tainui Bridge Repainting

9 November – end of January 2017

Huntly’s Tainui Bridge will be repainted over the coming months, with work due to start on 9 November.

The project will run in two stages. The first task will be cleaning the bridge with water to remove any organic matter, followed by all above deck structural components being painted by hand.

The bridge won’t be spray painted, as there is a risk of residue ending up on cars and in the river, as such all paint will be applied by rollers.

Throughout the project traffic management will be in place, pedestrians will throughout be able to cross the bridge, there may however be short delays for vehicles travelling over the bridge during this time.
