Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, public notice is hereby given that the Waikato District Council, in conjunction with Kiwirail, will close George St, Tuakau from 6am Sunday 17 June to 6pm Tuesday 19 June 2018.
The road will be closed at the railway crossing to enable essential re-surfacing work on the crossing.
A sign-posted detour will be in place during the work through Liverpool St – Bollard Rd – Park Ave – Dominion Rd and vice versa.
There will also be a three-way stop-go in place at the intersection of Bollard Rd and Park Ave to manage traffic flow over the one-lane bridge on Park Ave. This is likely to cause queuing at peak hours.
Traffic lights will be used for night-time traffic flow across the Park Ave bridge.
