Notice is hereby given that the Waikato District Council needs to close Island Block Road from 7 March to 10 March 2022 to all through traffic.
The closure will allow crews to carry out repairs to the bridge over the Whangamarino River.
Detours are:
If you are heading north: drive along SH1 then along SH2 to Kopuku Rd and back down Coalfields Rd.
If you are heading south: drive along SH1 to the Te Kauwhata off ramp and east through Te Kauwhata along Waerenga Rd and back north along Falls Rd.
Waikato District Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
