Waikato District Council is proposing to correct the spelling of Okaeria Road to Ookarea Road, following advice that the current name may be incorrect.
This proposal comes after engagement with local Iwi representatives and confirmation that Ookarea aligns with the name of a nearby marae, strengthening the case for correction.
We're seeking feedback from affected residents.
