Notice is hereby given that Waikato District Council, for allowing Club Targa Inc to hold the first day of its Ultimate Road Race tarmac rally, proposes to temporarily close a number of roads in the district on Wednesday 15 2025. For maps detailing the proposed road closures, please see the bottom of this notice.
The proposed roads and times for these closures are:
Wednesday 15 October 2025, 8am to 12:30pm
- Start: On Glen Murray Road 300m from its intersection with Highway 22
- Finish: On Rotongaro Road 250m from its intersection with Hetherington Road
Wednesday 15 October 2025, 8:30am to 1pm
- Start: On Hetherington Road 300m from its intersection with Waikokowai Road
- Finish: On HYW 22 50m from its intersection with Te Akau Road
Wednesday 15 October 2025, 9:20am to 1:50pm
- Start: On Rotowaro Road 250m from its intersection with Waingaro Road
- Finish: On Rotowaro Road at its intersection with Weavers Crossing Road and Hillside Heights Road
Wednesday 15 October 2025, 10:10am to 2:40pm
- Start: On Waiterimu Road 300m from its intersection with Waikare Road
- Finish: On Storey Road 300m from intersection with Tahuna Road
Wednesday 15 October 2025, 12:25pm to 4:55pm
- Start: On Tahuroa Road 250m from its intersection with Tauwhare Road
- Finish: On Starkey Road 300m from its intersection with Bell Road and Scotsman Valley Road

For the proposed period of closure the roads would be manned at intersections by clearly identifiable marshals equipped with radio communication and access will be provided in the event of an emergency.
