Notice is hereby given that Waikato District Council, for allowing Pukekohe Car Club to hold the Bothwell Loop Rally, proposes to temporarily close the full length of Bothwell Road and Waikaretu-Wairamarama Road on Saturday 7 March 2026, from 8am to 6pm.
The proposed road closures are:
- Bothwell Road (from Waikaretu Valley Road to Waikaretu-Wairamarama Road) – 8am to 6pm
- Waikaretu-Wairamarama Road (from Bothwell Road to Waikaretu Valley Road) – 8am to 6pm
The event would run from 10am to 4pm, and would be the same course as previous years.
Residents would be provided controlled access if needed during the event.
For the proposed period of closure, the roads would be manned at intersections by clearly identifiable marshals equipped with radio communication and access will be provided in the event of an emergency.
