Notice is hereby given that Waikato District Council, for allowing Hamilton Car Club to hold the Sealed Road Sprint Rally, proposes to temporarily close on Ruapuke Road on Sunday 7 June 2026.
The proposed closure is:
- Ruapuke road from Te Mata Road through to Waimaunga Road (4.5kms) between 9am and 4pm.
The event would run from 9am to 4pm, and would be the same course as previous years.
A detour will be in place along Waimaunga, Te Hutewai and Te Mata Roads will be in place during the closure.
Residents would be provided controlled access if needed during the event.
For the proposed period of closure, the roads would be manned at intersections by clearly identifiable marshals equipped with radio communication and access will be provided in the event of an emergency.
