Update 26 March 2026, 1:25pm: The recent weather has brought welcome relief for our Southern Districts water supply. Demand has dropped, and our reservoirs are now back within normal levels.

Eureka and Matangi residents are being asked to cut back on water use, as current demand is higher than what can be supplied to local reservoirs.
People are encouraged to take simple steps like having shorter showers, turning off the tap while brushing teeth, only running dishwashers and washing machines with full loads, and holding off on washing cars or watering gardens.
