Waikato District Council Creative Communities Funding Scheme Assessment Committee

The Waikato District Council Creative Communities Funding Scheme is seeking two community representatives to prioritise and allocate funding for arts and culture projects for the district.

Assessment committees are at the heart of the success of the Creative Communities Funding Scheme.

Their main role is to consider applications and allocate funding, in line with any specific local priorities that have been set by Council.

As Representatives of the arts and culture community, you need to demonstrate a love for arts and culture, have a broad knowledge of arts and cultural activities in both your local area and the wider district and be prepared to:

  • discuss and make recommendations for promoting the scheme locally
  • receive reports on funded projects and discuss completed projects
  • attend performances, exhibitions and other events funded by the Scheme
  • attend meetings organised by Creative New Zealand
  • contribute to the Annual Evaluation Report

If you are interested in being a member of this committee, please submit a one page document expressing why you would like the role and the skills and experience you would bring to the committee.

Please e-mail your expression of interest to lianne.vandenbemd@waidc.govt.nz. Please include a one page bio detailing your arts experience. If you’d like to discuss this opportunity further, you can call Lianne on 0800 492 452 ext 5732.

Applications close Friday 13 March 2020.

The Creative Communities Scheme Fund is distributed through your council on behalf of Creative New Zealand.
