About the revaluation process
QV has completed the district-wide revaluation, with the new values independently audited and certified by the Office of the Valuer General on 30 October 2026.
The revaluation helps Council determine how rates are shared across our communities, reflecting changes in property values over time. A change in your property's rating value does not necessarily mean your rates will increase by the same amount. Rating values are used to help determine each property's share of rates across the district.
Have any questions or want to discuss your valuation first?
Contact QV on 0800 787 284 or send an email to contact@qv.co.nz. Many valuation queries can be resolved without lodging a formal objection.
