Transfer stations

Waikato District Council does not set transfer station fees, for a list of fees please contact the Transfer Stations directly:

Huntly Green Gorilla

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Accepts: Car batteries, clean fill, fridges, freezers, furniture, washing machines, greenwaste, metal, rinsed empty farm containers, spray/aerosol cans, TV's and wood (some).

Does not accept: Animal carcasses, medical waste, asbestos, batteries (nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion) and other batteries which contain hazardous metals), fluorescent tubes, farm chemicals, paint, silage wrap.

Note: Households can empty recycle crates (up to 3 or size equivalent) for FREE. There will be a charge for the disposal of some items. For more information please contact Green Gorilla.

Te Kauwhata Green Gorilla

Opening hours: Thursday 10.00am – 3.00pm and Sunday 11.00am – 4.00pm.

Accepts: Car batteries, fridges, freezers, washing machines, greenwaste, metal, rinsed empty farm containers, spray/aerosol cans, TV's and wood (some).

Does not accept: Animal carcasses, medical waste, asbestos, batteries (nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion) and other batteries which contain hazardous metals), EWaste, fluorescent tubes, farm chemicals, furniture, paint, silage wrap.

Xtreme Zero Waste

Opening hours: Monday - Friday 12.30pm – 5.00pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.00am - 5.00pm.

Services: Miniskips, compost for sale, Woodyard (Upcycled furniture for sale), Metalyard (assortment of metals items for sale), Greenwaste and Clean fill Drop off, and household items and clothes for sale.

Accepts: Animal carcasses, medical waste, batteries (nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion) and other batteries which contain hazardous metals), car batteries, clean fill, EWaste, fluorescent tubes, farm chemicals, fridges, freezers, washing machines, furniture, household items, paint, silage wrap, greenwaste, metal, rinsed empty farm containers, spray/aerosol cans, waste oil and wood.

Does not accept: Asbestos

Monthly recycling collection

Glen Murray - Glen Murray Hall carpark. First Saturday of each month (except after holidays) from 8.30am-12.30pm.
