Waikato district transfer stations

COVID-19 UPDATE:  Huntly and Te Kauwhata Transfer Station and Xtreme Zero Waste Resource Recovery Centre are now open.

Huntly and Te Kauwhata transfer stations are again accepting recycling. You can drop off clean plastics (with recycling numbers 1, 2 and 5), cans, glass and cardboard from Thursday 16 July 2020.

There will be a small charge for larger volumes of recyclables dropped off, which will be introduced from 1 August 2020.

This means that residential customers will have a couple of weeks to clear their backlog that may have built up while the service has not been running.

The charges will be:
Recycle crate (up to 3 or size equivalent) FREE
240L wheelie bin (or size equivalent) $5
1 cubic metre (or size equivalent) $20
