Making public spaces safer for everyone
In the new Public Places Bylaw, horse riding is allowed on grass berms in urban areas that have a speed limit of 70km/h or less. Scooters, skateboards and rollerblades can be used in town centres but not in ways that cause damage, annoyance or obstructions.
The Traffic Bylaw has also been adopted and adds tools to help manage nuisance behaviour on road.
