New 5-Step funding process 

Community Boards and Committees now manage their own funding. Waikato District Council provides discretionary funding to assist community groups, non-commercial groups and voluntary organisations operating within Council’s district for events and projects in areas identified below.

1. Read Guidelines

2. Contact relevant Chair for pre-approval, meeting dates and deadlines

3. Complete application form

4. Submit application to Chair prior to deadline

5. Accountability form to be completed and provided to Chair after event/project is complete.

Rural Ward funding

New funding process for Waikato District Council’s Rural Ward areas

Waikato District Council provides discretionary funding to assist community groups, non-commercial groups and voluntary organisations operating within Council’s rural areas for projects that benefit the wider communities.

Rural Ward Funding is now open for applications and will close Friday 1 July 2022.
