To find out how close to a boundary you can build you will need to know the setback rules that apply to your property.
The setback rules for all properties in the district can be found in the Operative District Plan.
Below is a video which guides you through the process to find the setback rules in the District Plan.
Note: The example we have used for this video is in the Waikato section of the District Plan, if your property is in the Franklin section the rules will look different. There can also be multiple setback rules that apply to each property.
