Pound Pup Pool Parties

Summer is coming to an end, and before we close the Ngaaruawaahia and Tuakau pools for the season, we want to give dogs a chance to enjoy one last swim and party with their furry friends. 

Bring your pup along to swim, play and party at our Pound Pups Pool Parties – The perfect way to wrap up summer. 

What to expect 

Entry is $15 per dog, with both cash and EFTPOS available. All money raised will be split between our own desexing programme, the PUP fund, and Fundraising for Impounded Dogs. 

All friendly dogs are welcomed from 10am to 1pm. The last hour, 1pm to 2pm, is reserved for small dogs (under 20kg) or dogs that are nervous and need a little more time and space. 

Spot prizes and goodies 

We have two incredible raffles (one per event), $5 per ticket. Ticket scan only be purchased at the event, with winners drawn at random the following week. 

Important

All dogs must be fully vaccinated, registered with your local council, in good health, and well socialized with people and other dogs. All dogs must be on a lead when not in water and all owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

    From 1pm to 2pm, the Ngaaruawaahia Swimmign Pools will be reserved exclusively for small dogs (under 20kg) and dogs who may feel a little shy or anxious around bigger groups. 

    This quieter session gives then the chance to enjoy the water, explore at their own pace, and have fun in a more relaxed environment.
