  • Make a bracelet - Share the love!

    Love, laughter, and a little bit of string! Come and make cute bracelets at your local Waikato District library.

  • Join your local Waikato District library to paint tiny art and share a little joy with someone in your community - small creations with a big heart!

  • Head the Waikato District Council Tamahere Hub to paint tiny art and share a little joy with someone in your community - small creations with a big heart!

  • This is a self-lead programme for Whaanau to engage with the community and our library resources books, games, toys, puzzles, etc, to socialise & engage with others in our library space.

    The intention is for this to be an unstructured time to have fun in the library with whaanau and meet others in the community. The resources we have are available anytime and we will encourage participants to ask staff when they want to use them.

    Book chat is a monthly get together for people who love reading and are keen to hear about new great reads.  

    There is no need to register. Just turn-up to one of the monthly sessions.

    Book Chat at our Ngaaruawaahia Library runs on the first Wednesday of each month (except January) at 10.30am.

  • Come and join in the fun at our awesome LEGO club.

    At our LEGO Club sessions children will be given a theme to build their creation – imagination and open-ended play improves literacy and language skills and aids a child’s development.

    Suitable for primary aged children – we also have DUPLO available for smaller kids.

    LEGO Club runs on the first Wednesday of the month 3.30pm at Te Kauwhata Library.

    No sign up required, just turn-up to one of the sessions!

  • Aged between 7 - 12-years-old, enjoy reading and hearing about the greatest new books? Love crafts, activities and games? Want to win prizes?

    Come to our monthly SKOOB sessions and do all of this, grab a snack and drink and get early access to the latest new books before anyone else.

    We’ve also got awesome spot prizes for kids who do their best and complete the most activities.

    SKOOB at our Huntly Library runs on the first Tuesday of every month, 3.30-4.30pm.
