Pick up a free Kids Summer Passport from any Waikato District library, available from Friday 19 December 2025, and start exploring.

Inside you’ll find simple activities, local challenges, and fun ways to discover the district. Tamariki can visit playgrounds, try new tracks, splash at pools, and explore new places with their whaanau.

Prizes up for grabs

We’ve hidden 50 free child passes to our Council pools in Ngaaruawaahia, Huntly, and Tuakau inside randomly selected passports. If you find one, you’re a winner!

Earn your Summer Explorer Certificate and be into win

Kids who complete their Summer Passport and collect a certificate from one of our libraries go in the draw to win a skateboard kindly supported by Wrong Skate Shop in Raglan, plus safety gear (including a helmet).

How It Works

  1. Pick up a passport at any Waikato District Library
  2. Check your passport  - you might have won a pool pass!
  3. Complete the activities around the district.
  4. Explore places using the Play Map.
  5. Bring your passport back to the library once it's completed to receive your Summer Explorer Certificate and be into win!
