Nga Hoopua

The Waikato district has three community swimming pools located in Ngaaruawaahia, Huntly and Tuakau.

New Zealand leisure management specialists, Belgravia Leisure NZ, have been appointed by Waikato District Council to operate its aquatic facilities located in Huntly, Tuakau and Ngaaruawaahia.

Any swimming lessons will be run by Belgravia Leisure NZ, please contact the relevant swimming pool location to find out more information.

6 to 21 December 2025: Weekdays 3pm to 6pm and weekends 12pm to 6pm
22 and 23 December: 12pm to 6pm

25 and 26 December 2025: CLOSED
27 to 30 December: Weekdays and weekends 12pm to 6pm
31 December: 12pm to 3pm
1 and 2 January 2026: CLOSED
3 to 25 January: Weekdays and weekends 12pm to 6pm
29 January to 31 March: Weekdays 3pm to 6pm and weekends 12pm to 6pm

The entry fees have been subsidised until the end of summer thanks to the Ngāruawāhia Community Board.

Huntly Aquatic Centre

This indoor facility has a lap pool and a learner and toddler’s pool. There is also an outdoor picnic area available.
