    A great way to build early literacy and creativity.

  • Unleash your creativity, one craft at a time! Join our monthly teen arts and crafts session to create, connect and have fun!

    Ideal for 13-17 year olds.

    Bring your creativity, we will supply the rest! 

  • Come and join in the fun at our awesome LEGO club!

    At our LEGO Club sessions children will be given a theme to build their creation – imagination and open-ended play improves literacy and language skills and aids a child’s development.

    Suitable for primary aged children – we also have DUPLO available for smaller kids.

    No sign up required, just turn up on the day!

  • This is a self-lead programme for Whaanau to engage with the community and our library resources books, games, toys, puzzles, etc, to socialise & engage with others in our library space.

    The intention is for this to be an unstructured time to have fun in the library with whaanau and meet others in the community. The resources we have are available anytime and we will encourage participants to ask staff when they want to use them.

  • Come along to the Huntly Library and learn how to play chess!

    This beginner‑friendly class is open to everyone - no experience needed.

    Give it a go and see what you think!

  • Come and build something at the library!

    Suitable for primary aged children – we also have DUPLO available for smaller kids.

    Lego is out every Tuesday (during school term), 3.30-4.30pm.

  • Learn to crochet with Linda at the Ngaaruawaahia Library!

    Learn how to read a pattern, abbreviations and how to make a square. Bring a note pad and pen, we'll supply the rest.

    The Crochet Club runs every Wednesday from our Ngaaruawaahia Library (during school term), 1.30pm – 2.30pm.
