There’s loads of exciting things happening at our libraries! Check out this list of events and activities happening in our spaces.

Upcoming events

  • Add a little flutter to your fingers at our Pipe Cleaner Butterfly Rings session!

Twist and shape colourful pipe cleaners into beautiful butterfly rings you can wear and take home. 🦋✨

  • We’ll experiment with fun techniques using the colours of the season and mixed-media crafts to create autumnal art, leafy designs, and bright gumboots and umbrellas.

Perfect for young artists who love to get creative (and a little bit messy!).

  • Come and build something at the library!

Suitable for primary aged children – we also have DUPLO available for smaller kids.

Lego is out every Tuesday (during school term), 3.30-4.30pm.

  • Love books? Join us for a relaxed book chat at the library.

Share what you’ve been reading, discover new titles, and enjoy a friendly conversation with other readers.

No pressure - just books and good chat.

  • Grab a teddy or soft toy and join in our Teddy Bear’s picnic and craft.

  • Use odd jigsaw pieces to decorate your magnetic photo frame

  • This is a self-lead programme for Whaanau to engage with the community and our library resources books, games, toys, puzzles, etc, to socialise & engage with others in our library space.

The intention is for this to be an unstructured time to have fun in the library with whaanau and meet others in the community. The resources we have are available anytime and we will encourage participants to ask staff when they want to use them.
