    At our LEGO Club sessions children will be given a theme to build their creation – imagination and open-ended play improves literacy and language skills and aids a child’s development.

    This is suitable for primary aged children – we also have DUPLO available for smaller kids.

  • Share a story and explore it further with a hands-on craft.

    A great way to build early literacy and creativity.

  • Scavenger hunt pictures are hidden around the library. Participants find them and write down the number on each picture. 

    On completion they receive an activity booklet and stickers.

  • Fun activities for all ages including sensory toys, DUPLO, puzzles and boardgames.

  • Calling all book lovers!

    Want to share your favourite reads with fellow book lovers over a cup of coffee?

    There is no need to register. Just turn up to one of the sessions listed below.

  • Celebrate Matariki by creating beautiful bunting using star cut-outs.

    A fun and creative way to honour this special season.


  • This is a self-lead programme for Whaanau to engage with the community and our library resources books, games, toys, puzzles, etc, to socialise & engage with others in our library space.

    The intention is for this to be an unstructured time to have fun in the library with whaanau and meet others in the community. The resources we have are available anytime and we will encourage participants to ask staff when they want to use them.

  • Participants will create cute hedgehogs , reusing old books. This book folding project will take time, so bring your patience.

  • Kids aged 0 – 5 can join us to play with LEGO DUPLO! DUPLO blocks are large, colourful building blocks designed for younger children.

    As well as being great fun, DUPLO teaches problem-solving skills, creativity, teamwork, and helps to develop fine motor skills.

    Come and join in on the fun, no booking required. Children must be supervised.

  • Relax and get creative with a colour-by-numbers session, plus enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate while you colour!

     


  • Join the fun at LEGO Club! Build a creation inspired by a different theme for each session, using your imagination and creativity. Suitable for primary-aged children, with DUPLO available for younger kids.

  • Play a selection of modern board games that are suitable for families, teens and adults.

    Share what you’ve been reading, discover new titles, and enjoy a friendly conversation with other readers.

    No pressure - just books and good chat.
