Huntly West playground upgrade

We’re replacing ageing equipment at Huntly West Domain playground to ensure a safe, updated, compliant and fun play area that’s up to health and safety standards.

As part of the renewal process, we have the opportunity to add some brand-new equipment to the playground such as a wheelchair seesaw or an accessible carousel, which has kindly been donated by St John.

We’re also proposing an approximate new location for the playground within the existing domain to ensure longevity and future proofing of the area. The proposed new location aims to maximise existing site features, enable passive surveillance, reduce negative effects and site hazards, increase vehicle access and parking, allow for connectivity via pathways, and ensure future reserve usage.

View a map indicating the rough new location for the playground.

We want to know:

  • Which design to you prefer?
  • What do you think about the general area being considered for the updated playground?

Please note, this is not a complete playground upgrade, we’re simply renewing old equipment, proposing a relocation within the domain and providing a couple of new equipment options that lie within our existing playground renewal budget.

Your feedback will help us shape a playground that reflects what our community wants and needs.

View the designs and submit your feedback before 5pm Friday 27 June.
